RankUp's take
Doctrine is Overwatch’s announced 54th hero, a Support character connected to Doomfist. Blizzard describes a lifeforce-based kit involving a scepter, infusions and bat-like drones. The announcement does not provide a full official ability breakdown, so RankUp is not publishing guessed numbers or matchups.
The limited-time hero trial ran through September 14. As of October 3, the full Season 5 release is still scheduled for October 6: the announcement is not evidence that Doctrine is available in today’s regular roster.
Season 5 also introduces the Escort map Watchpoint: Grímsvötn and major reworks for Sombra and Roadhog. Blizzard specifically announces that Sombra will move from Damage to Support. Until the update launches, her current Damage listing remains appropriate.
For ranked players, wait for the final patch notes before treating preview information as live balance. The announcement also sets October 5 as the deadline to earn and redeem the BlizzCon Mythic Voucher; check the official article for eligibility and redemption details.
