RankUp's take

The revamped pass launches on August 11 and retains its 80 tiers. After finishing an introductory track and earning the Cyber Mechanic D.Va Legendary skin, players choose which of five reward tracks to progress first.

Each selectable track spans roughly 8–10 tiers and ends with an Epic or Legendary skin. You can switch the active track at any time, letting you prioritize rewards for heroes you actually play instead of waiting for their position on a fixed path.

Buying the Premium Battle Pass grants one Tier Hack. This can replace a track’s final skin with a Legendary from a rotating selection of previous Shop and Loot Box cosmetics; Season 4 begins with 12 choices covering all three roles.

The total grind and currency-earning opportunities are not changing, while prestige titles still follow completion of the main pass. For ranked-focused players, the practical benefit is flexibility: pick the track matching your role or main first, then redirect progress if your priorities change.

What this means for you

Activate the track containing a cosmetic for your main role or hero before spending Battle Pass XP. Premium buyers should review the season’s entire Tier Hack pool before committing their single swap.
