RankUp's take

The Anniversary event runs May 12 through June 1, rotating Classic 2016, Mystery Showdown, and Classic 2020 across its three weeks. Blizzard’s May 15 update raises community loot-box rewards in Weeks 2 and 3 and lowers the requirement for earning all 15 Anniversary Loot Boxes to 60 games, with wins counting twice.

Top 500 Live Spectate is the most useful addition for competitive improvement. Watch how elite players position before engagements, manage fight tempo, and recognize openings, then focus on applying one observed habit at a time in your own games.

Season 2 Drives run June 11–15 with a limited progression track and a pink-and-blue Signature as the final reward. Wins advance the grind more effectively, while losses can reduce progress, so coordinated sessions and disciplined stopping points should make the climb less volatile.

The midcycle also introduces Mythic Ra Ana, several themed shop collections, Pride content in supported regions, and a June 5–8 Junkrat Loot Hunt. OWCS Champions Clash takes place in Japan from May 22–24, offering another source of high-level strategy to review.

What this means for you

Use Top 500 Spectate to examine rotations, positioning, and fight timing rather than simply copying hero picks. For Drives, queue with a reliable group when possible because wins accelerate progress and losses can set the track back.
