RankUp's take
Shion is designed to maintain pressure while moving quickly through fights. Her three-shot pistol cadence should reward controlled tracking, while her dashes offer tools for repositioning and pursuit; her motorcycle can carry her through the battlefield before being launched at opponents.
Neon Junction expands the standard map pool with a Hybrid battleground set in Tokyo. Teams will capture the opening objective and then escort ANDROMEDA III deeper into Hashimoto territory, so players should prepare for both point-control setups and payload rotations.
Stadium receives changes across most of its roster, with larger reworks highlighted for Hazard, Tracer, Kiriko, Sojourn, and Doomfist. Blizzard has not provided the individual numbers here, but the scale suggests established builds and matchup assumptions will need to be reassessed.
Stadium Ranked will no longer enforce grouping restrictions, and Oasis University enters its map pool. Separately, Community Crafted will offer temporary creator-designed experiments for Reinhardt, Baptiste, Ashe, and Sombra from June 30 through July 13; these are presented as limited experiments rather than a standard balance patch.
The season also brings a redesigned Hero Select interface, the three-week Anima Strike story event, and new cosmetic tiers including Ultra Skins. Anima Strike runs June 16 through July 6 and includes branching progression, more than 50 themed rewards, and an additional prestige path.
What this means for you
Expect an early adjustment period around Shion's mobility and pressure windows, especially on the new Hybrid map. Stadium players should rebuild rather than assume old loadouts remain optimal, as broad updates and several larger reworks may reshape every role.
